Credit for the Bank of Ideas

Agni College of Technology has a Centre created by the Alumina of the college known as the Centre for Research and Development (CRD), where the ideas from your bank of knowledge is put into the act of implementation via projects. All you have to do is to catch innovative ideas from your brain and it can be made into existence with support and finance from the CRD of Agni College of Technology.

Agni college of Technology along with the alumina students started a Centre for the students to do projects. Compared to other colleges, Agni College of Technology wants the students not only to be studious, but also innovative. So they have created a platform with the help of old (akä) Golden students for present students to explore in their field of interest. CRD provides high quality research training for students with a view to produce a new generation of young innovative professionals.

Doing a project is compulsory in all the engineering colleges but most of the colleges do not support the students in this process, where as in Agni College of Technology, if the students approach this Centre with their own ideas for a new project, the professors and others who are in-charge in this Centre will help them, guide them and develop their ideas into projects. The CRD has a partnership with the Arizona State University (ASU), USA.

When it is told to people and parents about this Centre, the question which arises to most of them is “Who does the Funding for the project?” and the answer is the college, immediately the next question was “How is it possible only by the college?” That is where the old students come into act, they do all sort of help physically possible to help the student. So that the students won’t face the same problems as they did in order to complete their projects.

AGNI – EXPERIENCE THE TRANSFORMATION IN YOU

“The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination”.

Agni College of Technology is the powerhouse of activating young minds. It is unique in its way of making students learn the subjects and not to study them. Agni mainly focuses on the all-round development of students. The faculty members of Agni are the great support to the institution and are also friendly with the students. The one which made Agni achieve greater heights is Agni’s Centre for Research and Development (CRD). CRD has given a great opportunity to even first year students to exhibit their talents and take part in their research activities. Students were given assignments to bring out innovative and novel ideas for display. As a result the students came out with 200 innovative projects and 10 novel ones among which 3 were patented. Some of the areas of research in CRD are energy sources, artificial intelligence, robotics etc. All the achievements made by the students through CRD have an added advantage in their resumes.

Recently “AGNI’S IGNITE” program was started to ignite the minds of school students and encourage them to build up simple and economical projects for the nation development. The program touched 32 districts and events were conducted in 193 schools. Totally 7000 students participated among which 1922 were honoured for their innovative projects. 60 finalists were selected for the reality TV show “Ezham Arivu( seventh sense)”.

Apart from this, the next most interesting thing about Agni is the placement training sessions. It is conducted for personality development of the students. These sessions are made more interesting through power talks given by great personalities. Agni College also conducts many extra-curricular activities to enable students’ imagination and thinking skills. The management of Agni is also very much supportive and they extend their help in all ways for the students’ betterment. Agni produces hundreds of quality engineers every year by raising their standard of education to meet the competitive world and advanced technology. Agni College of Technology is on the whole the light in darkness which must be utilised to track the right path to brighten our future and to become a man of value.

FEED FIRE FROM AGNI

The Rapid progress made by our country in the field of the science and technology has given up the phenomenal demand for qualified engineers in all the areas. There has been a surge in the institution offering engineering education. Developing innovative engineers in various fields as a main aim AGNI COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY was established in the year2001 by SRI BALAJI CHARITABLE EDUCATIONAL TRUST. The college has emerged as the Centre of excellence for education and earned a unique position for itself in the field of engineering. The college is approved by AICTE New Delhi, affiliated to Anna University.

The campus has well built classrooms, fully equipped laboratory, workshops, modern computer labs, well stacked library. The college has a spacious building for classrooms, workshops, laboratory and drawing halls a centrally air conditioned auditorium, air conditioned seminar hall, conference hall, a open air theatre is available with the capacity of 200 seats. The college campus is equipped with the 40 Mbps broadband internet connectivity and Wi-Fi.

The alumni of our college have made a new centre which is known as the CENTRE OF RESEARCH AND DEVOLPMENT. CRD was inaugurated by the SCIENTIST Dr. MAYILSWAMY ANNADURAI. CRD provides the high quality research and training for the students with the view to produce young and innovative professional engineers to meet the emerging need of the industry and society.

AGNI’S IGNITE an enthusiastic group (part of ACT) gathered the young scientist from all over schools in Tamilnadu .they took 60 members from them and conducted a reality show called “EZHAM ARIVU - Ungalil Yaar Adutha Abdul Kalam”

ACT is one among the top institution in the India offering technical education by creating and nurturing young scientists. Agni College of technology shapes a better future for the mankind by developing effective and socially responsible individuals. Centre for Research and Development (Agni’s CRD) provides major and minor project for the students to develop their research skill. .It was started and inaugurated by the renowned scientist of ISRO, Mr. Mylswamy Annadurai on 14th April 2012. Electronics and Communication Engineering is one of the top most field in our college. Students exhibit their Excellency in the field of ECE. There are modern well equipped laboratories specially afforded for this department. In this year the new Research Centre was started which was named as “E-YANTRA LAB” ultimately for the students giving up with new thoughts. Every department molds the students in their field of interest.

Our college has extracurricular activities such as sports. The students who were won the sports are given medals and certificates. It has good food facilities for the hostel students providing a quality and hygienic food. There is a cafeteria separately for girls and boys.

AGNI - THE IGNITE CENTRE

The word “AGNI” stands for fire or a powerful light. As per the name it enlightens the mind of students and it creates an innovative future generation. The College provides various opportunities rather than subject knowledge. Learning alone cannot empower the life of a person but also application oriented skills is essential for an eminent person.

A CHARMABLE TEACHING:

Teaching face-to-face and teaching online are both teaching, but they are qualitatively different. In comparison, driving a car and riding a motorcycle are both forms of transportation, but they have enough difference. Great teaching leads to a creation of global citizens. AGNI FOUNDATION – Helping Hands

If you read this article you will not only get some information. In addition to that you can learn some values of life. I am a 1^st year student studying in Agni College of Technology; wish to share something about “AGNI FOUNDATION” – a trust managed by Agni College.

The main difference between a human and an animal is that the human being has the heart where he/she can help others on the other hand animals don’t have that tendency. They would fight each other for food, shelter, and for everything. But, in today’s world even humans are slowly changing like animals running behind money which implies food and entertainment. But, Agni Foundation is the one which taught me to live like real human.

If you see in most of the engineering colleges they will be declaring that they will make their students as an engineer with good placement. But here in Agni College of Technology in addition to that they are also making good human beings.

Agni Foundation is currently focussing on a project called as “Project Identity”. Through this they are creating a separate website for a particular orphanage so that they can communicate to the entire world. It’s a different idea right? It is different from posting our status in Facebook, watsapp, which we are doing to make ourselves popular. Not only project identity they are also giving free education (“Project- Free education”) for the poor students.

I am happy to say that I am also one among them. In this 2^nd Semester, I got a golden opportunity to go with them for one Orphanage which is present at Vandalur. In this case also, they are alike i.e., mostly colleges will arrange only industrial visit or some kind of educational visit and not to Orphanages.

I learnt a lot of things from there which was very useful for my life. To include few – I can tell that to help others, to make our life meaningful, etc. At that moment, I asked myself the question that why God should create me in this Earth? Then I founded that God has created me (all humans) in order to help the people who are in need and to serve this society. It is a known fact that if a human has learnt the good values of his life then, every other thing including the education, communication skills will come automatically.

Do you know the reason why the Sun is still existing (living) even after billions and billions of years?? It’s because it is living and burning itself for the sake of others and not for itself. Agni College has ignited a fire in my soul which burns to help others. I hope that this fire will keep on burning till the end of the world. That is even if I take my last generation. I believe that I have just brought a spark in your soul through this article.
